Module 1

INTRODUCTION TO CONDUCTING LAYERED PROCESS AUDITS

Content:

Overview of the fundamentals of conducting audits in various areas of the organization
Principles of using Layered Process Audits (LPA) as a tool for improving the Quality Management System
Benefits of conducting layered process audits

Module 2

PROCESS OF PLANNING AND CONDUCTING A LAYERED PROCESS AUDIT AND AUDIT TECHNIQUES

Content:

Presentation of the role and position of the layered process audit within the company’s operations
Selection of auditors for conducting layered process audits
Discussion of AIAG requirements (CQI-8 standard) related to LPA
Overview of additional international auditing standards and their application within LPA

Exercises:

Developing requirements and guidelines for auditors

Defining the audit schedule (frequency) in line with the company’s capabilities and expectations

Module 3

WORKSHOP ON DEFINING AUDIT QUESTION LISTS

Content:

Principles of preparing audit questions for LPA
Best practices for summarizing layered process audits for specific areas of the organization
Discussion of the benefits of conducting LPA for audited areas – feedback communication

Exercises:

Preparing LPA questions for selected areas

Designing a model response collection form

Module 1

AUDIT WORKSHOP

Content:

Discussion of the process, principles, authorities, and responsibilities within LPA
Audit simulation – effective communication between auditor and auditee

Exercises:

Preparing a sample LPA implementation plan

Conducting a sample layered process audit at a simulated workstation

Reporting audit results and methods for managing outcomes

Module 2

ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS – AUDIT AND WHAT’S NEXT?

Content:

Supervision of the layered process audit system and use of its results in managing the integrated management system
Review of audit results and setting implementation priorities
Principles for evaluating auditors’ performance

Exercises:

Defining the elements and format of audit result reviews

Defining corrective and correction actions based on LPA results

The training can be conducted based on real company examples – project analysis
The training includes 2 days of activities – 8 hours of theory + 8 hours of practical workshops
Due to the workshop nature, the group size should not exceed 12 participants

Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion.

Participants should include representatives from all levels of the company structure, from each level of management. Especially management staff and employees from departments outside of quality, who will be responsible for performing audits.
