TRAINING PROGRAM

For in-company training, the proposed program is a preliminary suggestion and can be freely adapted to the individual needs of the company.

The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

Module 1

CONTENTS:

Purpose and scope of the VDA 6.3 handbook.
IATF 16949: 2016 requirements for process audit.
Process approach vs process audit.
Links between audit types.
Risk analysis based on the turtle diagram.
Technical and professional requirements for VDA 6.3.
Auditors’ experience and their responsibilities.
Overview of the code of conduct for auditors.

Module 2

CONTENTS:

Presentation of the principle of selecting auditors.
Effectiveness assessment of auditors in the context of the competency matrix.
Discussion of the auditor’s tasks during the process and conducting the audit.

Module 3

CONTENTS:

Potential analysis – evaluation of new projects, unknown suppliers.
Location and technology analysis.
The process of development and potential of the candidate – supplier.
Preparation of a supplier acceptance decision.

EXERCISES:

Case study for the preparation of audit issues in accordance with VDA 6.3.
Review of the list of audit questions along with audit evaluation methods.

Module 4

CONTENTS:

Potential analysis (P1) in accordance with VDA 6.3Project management (P2).
Planning and development of the product, process (P3).
Implementation, development of products and processes (P4).
Supplier management (P5).
Mass production (P6).
Customer service, customer satisfaction (P7).

EXERCISES:

Assessment of selected audit situations in terms of selecting a question from the VDA 6.3 list corresponding to the non-compliance.
Assessment of selected audit situations in terms of non-compliance assessment points on a scale compliant with VDA 6.3.
Case study for the evaluation of errors in the evaluation of process audits.

Module 5

CONTENTS:

Discussion of evaluation guidelines.
Classification of audit results and non-conformities.
Conducting an assessment for measurable characteristics, functions, material characteristics and product life.

EXERCISES:

Case study for evaluation and degradation methods in VDA 6.3 assessment.

Module 6

CONTENTS:

Defining priorities of corrective and improvement actions.
Technical, organizational and administrative corrective actions.

EXERCISES:

Case study for creating post-audit reports.
Drawing conclusions from reports in the context of QMS

Module 7

CONTENTS:

Written test (exam) for Internal Process Auditor according to VDA 6.3.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The training focuses on the audit of the manufacturing process of tangible products. The application of potential analysis and conducting service process audits is not the subject of training.

The training includes the theoretical part in the form of presentations, analysis of examples and discussions, as well as in the form of training workshops, allowing for the practical use of knowledge.

At the end of the training, a test is carried out to verify the acquired knowledge. Passing the test is the basis for obtaining a certificate entitling him to work independently as a VDA 6.3 auditor.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming completion of the training.
