The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

Module 1

INTRODUCTION TO JASP

Content:

  • JASP environment – from “Edit Data” to “Analyses”

  • Scope of available JASP analyses – basic and additional modules (possible to enable)

  • Forms of creating and expanding files with input data for individual MSA methods

Module 2

BASIC ANALYSES OF COLLECTED DATA

Content:

  • Basic operations on data

  • Data transformation, adding columns, sorting

  • Basic and less basic statistics – quick access

  • Graphical presentation of data – selected charts useful in quality management (histogram, Q-Q plot, etc.)

Exercises:

Determination of basic statistical measures

Managing columns for MSA purposes

Module 3

FUNDAMENTALS OF MSA ANALYSES (AIAG AND VDA 5 GUIDELINES)

Content:

  • Fundamentals of applying statistics to assess the effectiveness of control
  • AIAG and VDA 5 requirements – similarities and differences
  • Resolution of measuring instruments – selection principles
  • “Grey zones” and the obligation to narrow the tolerance range
  • Review of definitions (including repeatability, reproducibility, linearity)

Module 1

MSA FOR VARIABLE MEASUREMENTS

Content:

  • Study of stability and linearity
  • Study of measuring instrument capability (Cg/Cgk index) according to VDA 5, Ford, Bosch, Mercedes and others, and their configuration in JASP
  • Evaluation of inspector and instrument effectiveness (Type II procedures) – method based on ranges and ANOVA (Gauge R&R and ndc indices)
  • Study of repeatability of measurements for destructive testing (Gauge R&R Nested)
  • Non-standard methods – overview

Exercises:

Analysis of measuring instrument capability (Cg/Cgk)

Analysis of the measurement system based on Type II methods

Analysis of MSA results – complete data set on the system

Work with Nested ANOVA

Reading control charts for assessing the stability of the measurement system

MSA FOR ATTRIBUTE INSPECTION

Content:

  • MSA for attribute inspection – analyses with known and unknown reference value
  • Evaluation of inspection effectiveness – E
  • Determination of false rate and miss rate indicators (FR, FA)
  • Signal Detection Method (SDM)
  • Cohen’s and Fleiss’ KAPPA as a measure of operator agreement in attribute inspections
  • Non-standard methods – overview

Exercises:

Analysis of the control system in attribute evaluation based on the Signal Detection Method and the cross-tabulation method (KAPPA)

Analysis of measuring equipment capability.
System evaluation using ARM and ANOVA methods (determination of %GRR and ndc).
Evaluation of measurement system linearity.
MSA for attribute inspection – calculations and analyses.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming completion of the training.
