Participants will learn useful tools such as group needs assessment, dynamism, the Kolb cycle, interactivity of presentations and workshops, and the 5/15 method.

TRAINING PROGRAM

For in-company training, the proposed program is a preliminary suggestion and can be freely adapted to the individual needs of the company.

The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

Module 1

DESIGNING TRAINING SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS

Content:

  • You teach, not PowerPoint – scientific research and best practices in creating a masterful presentation (including interactive tools; dynamism; the 5/15 rule; minimalism in form; gong; training)

  • Methods of conducting sessions – case studies, examples, simulations, lectures – when and how to use them

  • Designing case studies, simulations, exercises, and examples supporting the learning process

  • Group process – what it is, how it unfolds and how to use it during training sessions – mini-lecture

Module 2

DESIGN A MINI – SIMULATION

Content:

  • Competence, i.e., how to design training sessions and presentations to teach effectively – mini-lecture and summary

  • Design a mini – a simulation consisting in designing a mini-workshop in the area of participants’ expertise

  • Feedback in knowledge transfer – the FUKO method, the full expression model after training and in practice

  • Difficult situations in a trainer’s work – how to deal with them, what to say and how to respond, how to support the learning process

Module 1

ABC OF EFFECTIVE PRESENTATIONS

Content:

  • The purpose of the presentation and its effect – how to plan a good presentation

  • Presentation structure, i.e., when sequence matters, coherence of content and visualization of data, whether processes matter

  • Aesthetics, i.e., why we eat and buy with our eyes (visual and editorial standards)

  • What is most effective for recipients – visualization, graphics, explanations, examples – how to use them in practice

Module 2

FIRST THE PERSON, A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE AUDIENCE

Content:

  • Different people have different needs and expectations – a few words about people and knowledge acquisition – discussion of the Kolb cycle

  • How to identify the needs of the audience? The art of asking smart questions

  • How to select messages, stories, data and exercises for the audience – various techniques and methods

  • How and what we remember, i.e., how to base teaching on the functioning of the human brain

  • The biggest myths of presenting and knowledge transfer – learning styles, technology and storytelling

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We ensure that a large part of the training is devoted to exercises and practical workshops – then it is easier for participants to remember new information.

During this training, practice includes, among others, tasks in the following areas:

training in skillful questioning – identify the need.
exercises and simulations.
case study of the best and the worst training sessions.
designing a mini-workshop + feedback from participants.
mini-lecture.

The detailed scope of the training will be agreed upon after further analysis of training needs.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming completion of the training.
