Content:

  • FMEA – overview of mandatory steps in risk assessment
  • “Failure Mode” – different approaches to defining the scope of analysis
  • “Effect Analysis” – mandatory customer groups to be considered
  • FMEA analyses in different project phases: design, pilot production, serial production (APQP and MLA)
  • 8D vs. FMEA – essential common points (also in the context of IQ-RM functionalities)

Module 2

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF WORKING WITH APIS IQ-RM

Content:

  • Program options – overview
  • Creating a file with a new analysis
  • Data structure for the analysis
  • Customizing the software to individual needs

Exercises:

Creating a new file in accordance with the principles that ensure correct work in IQ-RM

Practicing several alternative methods of creating objects within the software

Module 1

APIS IQ-RM – BUILDING THE STRUCTURE AND RISK ASSESSMENT

Content:

STEP 1. Defining the FMEA scope:

  • Selecting the type of FMEA in IQ-RM
  • “5T” in the software – available options
  • Documenting FMEA – available form templates

STEP 2. FMEA: Structure analysis

  • Defining process steps and work elements (4M+)
  • Defining the structure: system–subsystem–assemblies–components
  • Visualizing the structure in IQ-RM

STEP 3. Function analysis:

  • Defining functions and characteristics depending on the level in the structure/tree
  • Describing specifications – various software options
  • Using the Parameter Diagram tool

  • Action Priority – determination and analysis

Exercises:

Creating networks of functions and characteristics

Creating relationships within red networks (failures, effects, and causes)

Determining risk levels (different approaches to documenting results)

Defining current and recommended actions (P, D)

Module 2

METHODS FOR SUMMARIZING AND REPORTING ANALYSIS RESULTS

Content:

STEP 6. Optimization:

  • Changes in documenting planned actions, suggested statuses
