FMEA – Failure Mode and Effects Analysis with APIS IQ-RM program – advanced *computer-based training

  • Process improvement
  • DURATION: 2-3 days - 16-24 training hours

Scope

The aim of the training is to smoothly guide participants from the basic level to the advanced level of work and use of the IQ-RM software. We will focus on functionalities that allow you to speed up work and increase satisfaction with the program.

The basic goals of the training are:

  • Reminder of the basic principles of FMEA analysis.
  • Presentation of advanced methods of analysis management in IQ-RM
  • Overview of non-standard options for developing risk analyzes in IQ-RM.

Information about the program

CONTENTS:

  • The most important principles of FMEA analysis.
  • Common errors with FMEA and IQ-RM.
  • FMEA efficiency, or how to save thanks to risk analysis.
  • What’s beyond FMEA – review of methods available in IQ-RM.

CONTENTS:

  • Program options – basic and advanced (for coordinators and moderators).
  • Creating a file with a new analysis – using templates.
  • Defining templates for subsequent files and analyzes (standardization of settings).
  • Data structure for analysis – correct solutions.
  • Differentiation of the analysis content for different types of FMEA (design, process, machine, logistic, etc.).

EXERCISES:

  • Transferring organizational procedures and definitions to the database in IQ-RM;
  • Creating catalogs with a knowledge base as components of the subsequent structure;
  • Identifying and eliminating erroneous activities in the IQ-RM environment.

CONTENTS:

  • Discuss the difference between a function and a requirement.
  • An indication of how the latest version of the software supports the new 7 Step FMEA procedure.
  • Creation of negative elements (FM, FE, FC).
  • Determining the level of risk (different approaches to documenting the results).
  • Defining the source of retrieving weight definitions.
  • Determining current preventive and detection actions from the level of the structure and form using alternative methods.
  • Assigning improvement actions, responsible persons and deadlines.
  • File change tracking and deadlines management.

EXERCISES:

  • Building an extensive analysis structure;
  • Supplementing each level with features, characteristics and disadvantages;
  • Building a dependency tree, both from the level of structure and result forms, using several alternative methods;
  • Linking of the feature network and the defect network and recovery of the feature network with inactive settings for automatic connections;
  • Risk analysis defining P and D from different interfaces and ensuring that they are displayed in the form.

CONTENTS:

  • Optimizing combinations of functions to accelerate work progress (e.g. shortcuts) and when to use them.
  • Reports as a clear and measurable summary of analyzes.
  • Automatic creation of filters and step-by-step filter creation for the variable of interest.
  • Alternative methods to speed up the completion of prevention and detection.
  • Configure the program settings in such a way as to maximize performance and reduce unnecessary “clicking”.
  • Using the method of multi-level synchronization to plan activities.
  • Visualization of areas in the FMEA form.

EXERCISES:

  • File access configuration;
  • Configuration of access to selected functions in the program;
  • Advanced methods of using reports to prioritize areas for improvement;
  • Practical use of interfaces provided for “superuser”;
  • Duplicating analyzes within one file and between different files while maintaining a network of connections;
  • Methods of recovering files and “saving” lost data;
  • Management of additional modules for 8D, DVP & R, P-Diagram, B-D.

Additional information:

During the training, participants work on computers, thanks to which they have the opportunity to learn about the possibilities of the program on an ongoing basis. The trainer is at the disposal of each participant to answer questions that arise during the course.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming completion of the training.

Addressees:

The training is aimed at people who are responsible for product and process development at the level of production plants and engineering and development centers. We invite people who are or would like to be members of expert groups involved in the creation of analyzes and documents improving the product or process.
