CSR – training on specific customer requirements – Mercedes-Benz

The specific requirements training (CSR) course from the Mercedes-Benz Group (formerly known as Daimler) presents a range of requirements concerning, among other things, quality, processes and standards that suppliers working with this OEM must meet.

During the course, participants will learn how to analyse, adapt and implement Mercedes-Benz guidelines into their organisation’s management system. The training will also cover the MBST-compliant quality system, Mercedes-Benz’s APQP and PPAP requirements. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with the Mercedes-Benz portal and will be introduced to numerous practical examples that will prepare them to work independently.

The training is based on the latest requirements of the Mercedes-Benz Group 2022.

TRAINING PROGRAM

For in-company training, the proposed program is a preliminary suggestion and can be freely adapted to the individual needs of the company.

The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

Module 1

CONTENT:

  • Basic requirements
  • Structure of the requirements for suppliers
  • Implementation of the standard in the organisation. Specific requirements for the department: quality, purchasing, logistics and health and safety.
  • Customer specific requirements in relation to IATF 16949:2016.

Module 2

CONTENT:

  • MBST 13/16 Product manufacturing and approval process (PPF=PPAP).
  • MBST 14/04 Quality assurance.
  • BST 18/02 Warranty claims.
  • MBST 27/06 FMEA.
  • Q-HELP – Escalation system.
  • Process audit according to the Mercedes group.
  • Audit in accordance with VDA 6.3. including Q-HELP.

Module 3

CONTENT:

  • Introduction to VDA MLA.
  • Required PPAP documentation including WEB standards.

Module 4

CONTENT:

  • SQMS.
  • e-SEP.
  • START.
  • EBSC.
  • DocMaste.
  • QEC-Tool.
  • IBL.

Module 5

CONTENT:

  • Case study with examples of organisations.
  • Practical exercises in a real project environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The workshop is supported by a multimedia presentation and supplemented by exercises.
  • The theoretical part is interspersed with many examples.
  • The workshop can be conducted on real company examples.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming completion of the training.

The workshop is aimed at all those working in the automotive industry and supplying their products to the Daimler Group. It is particularly dedicated to quality management system plenipotentiaries, process owners/managers, auditors, specialists in all organisational areas.
