Participants of the training will gain practical knowledge of how to conduct audits in accordance with CQI-9. Internal rules for the use of CQI audit sheets will also be developed. During the workshops, participants will learn the practical side of working with tables, not only as tools for auditing, but also as tools which support the development and improvement of the heat treatment process.

TRAINING PROGRAM

For in-company training, the proposed program is a preliminary suggestion and can be freely adapted to the individual needs of the company.

The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

Module 1

CONTENT:

  • Genesis of application and recent updates to CQI.
  • The business context of the application of CQI-9 in the background of IATF and CSR.
  • Impact of CQI on product safety assurance.
  • Major changes introduced in the 4th edition of HTSA 06/2020.

Module 2

CONTENT:

  • Audit of a special process as an internal audit.
  • Discussion of qualification requirements for auditors of special process, which changes are introduced by the latest update.
  • Principles of planning, implementation and reporting of audits.

EXERCISES:

Analysis of the HTSA auditor’s profile – benchmarking.

Development of the scope of competence.

Development of a sample audit schedule and reporting method.

Module 3

CONTENT:

  • Structure and content of the cover sheet for CQI audit forms
  • Overview of the structure of the cover sheet page.
  • The comprehensiveness of the data reported for the audit summary.
  • The way how the data is divided and used by the client.
  • Audit evaluation and summary of the results of audit.

EXERCISES:

Analysis and development of the first page of the audit.

Module 4

CONTENT:

  • Detailed discussion of HTSA requirements in Sections 1-3.
  • Division of the section into a part concerning quality planning and management board’s responsibility, and material management in production.
  • Structure of questions and form of answers related to evidence.

EXERCISES:

Development of selected items from the audit list of sections 1-3.

Analysis of the formulation of questions from the CQI-9 and their correct interpretation.

Standardization of the assessment of audited areas on the basis of selected examples and the method of defining evidence of compliance.

Module 5

CONTENT:

  • Job Audit structure with an indication of elements developed in the production.
  • Explanation of the structure of the questions and how they are related to sections 1-3.
  • What exactly composes the result of the Job Audit?

EXERCISES:

Execution of an exemplary audit on production with the help of HTSA process.

Standardization of the assessment method unique to Job Audit.

Module 6

CONTENT:

  • Specification of table components together with short characteristics of selected PT_A – PT_I.
  • The role of process tables in the CQI-9 audit.
  • Working with tables in the process and after the audit.

EXERCISES:

Conducting an audit with the help of the process tables.

Exemplary completion of the audit report for the tables and Job Audit.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Due to the workshop nature of the training, the participating group should not be larger than 15 people (assuming a sufficiently large room). The detailed scope of the training will be agreed upon after further analysis of training needs. Duration of classes, breaks, start and end times can be adjusted to the needs and capabilities of the group.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming the training.

Persons responsible for the preparation and implementation of thermal processes for which CQI-9 requirements apply. In particular, representatives of management, process owners, employees who supervise heat treatment processes.
