TRAINING PROGRAM

For in-company training, the proposed program is a preliminary suggestion and can be freely adapted to the individual needs of the company.

The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

  • Origin of application and latest updates of CQI
  • Business context of CQI-15 application against the background of IATF and customer requirements
  • Impact on ensuring product safety
  • Changes for revision 02 from January 2020

Module 2

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SPECIAL PROCESS AUDITORS ACCORDING TO CQI

Content:

  • Special process audit as an internal audit
  • Discussion of qualification requirements for special process auditors
  • Principles of planning, conducting, and reporting audits

Exercises:

Analysis of the CSA auditor profile – benchmarking
Development of a competency scope
Development of a sample schedule and reporting method

Module 1

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF THE COVER SHEET PAGE FOR CQI AUDIT FORMS

Content:

  • Discussion of the structure of the cover sheet page (also after CQI changes)
  • Comprehensiveness of the data presented for the audit summary
  • Method of data division and its use by the customer
  • Evaluation section and summary of audit results

Exercises:

Analysis and development of the first page of the audit

Module 2

STRUCTURE AND SUBSTANTIVE CONTENT OF SECTIONS 1–5

Content:

  • Detailed discussion of CSA requirements included in sections 1–5
  • Division of sections into the part concerning quality planning and management responsibility, and material management in production
  • Specific structure of questions and the form of answers linked to evidence (after changes in CQI)

Exercises:

Development of selected points from the audit checklist for sections 1–5
Exercises aimed at explaining the method of building questions
Standardization of the evaluation of audited areas based on selected examples and the method of defining evidence

Module 3

JOB AUDIT AS A PROCESS TABLE

Content:

  • Structure of the Job Audit (after changes in CQI)
  • Explanation of the structure of questions and the status of evidence confirmation
  • What constitutes the Job Audit result – RYG?
  • Component parameters and their characteristics

Exercises:

Conducting a sample audit for selected elements
Standardization of the evaluation method unique to the Job Audit
Conducting an audit using the section dedicated to process parameters
Sample completion of the audit report for the Job Audit section and the section concerning key process parameters

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

CQI-15 training includes a theoretical part in the form of a presentation and a practical part in the form of exercises to consolidate the knowledge gained during the training. CQI-15 training prepares participants for effective auditing of welding and welding processes.

*Hybrid – the training, as a rule, is stationary, but with the possibility of people to join in the online version.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming the training.

Persons responsible for the preparation and implementation of welding processes for which CQI-15 requirements apply. In particular, representatives of management, process owners, employees who supervise welding processes.

WHAT IS CQI-15?

CQI-15 (Special Process: Welding System Assessment) is a standard issued by AIAG that contains a set of guidelines and best practices concerning the welding and brazing process. The CQI-15 standard is required by IATF 16949 and aims at improving the process management system in the automotive industry.

It is important to acquire the ability to correctly interpret the requirements of the CQI-15 standard in order to increase work efficiency and improve the quality of manufactured products.
