TRAINING PROGRAM

For in-company training, the proposed program is a preliminary suggestion and can be freely adapted to the individual needs of the company.

The following program is indicative (the division into days is arbitrary) and the trainer adapts the course of the training to the specific characteristics of the group. Individual topics may be discussed at a different time or in a different form than indicated in the plan.

Module 1

CONTENT:

  • Preparing the survey – principles and mandatory steps.
  • Normal distribution and testing for normality of data.
  • Determination of sample size.
  • Batch assessment by R, s and sigma methods.
  • Testing for homogeneity of variance – Levene’s test and F-Snedecor test.
  • ‘S’ and normal control levels – principles of use.
  • Selecting a test plan (including moving to tighter and relaxed controls).

EXERCISES:

Selection of optimal plans based on 1st and 2nd party risks;
Batch analysis using R, s and sigma methods;
Testing homogeneity of variance;
Normalcy and fat error analysis.

Module 2

CONTENT:

  • Preparing and conducting a survey with attribute control.
  • The use of the Larson and Thorndike nomogram.
  • Use of the OC curve to evaluate the survey plan.
  • Special levels of control (S-1 and S-2) – principles of use.
  • What does an AQL of e.g. 1000 mean?
  • ‘Short’ and “long” plans – which is more cost effective?
  • One, two and multi-stage test plans based on AQL.
  • How do you predict how many products will be defective when a batch is received?
  • Determining AOQL defectiveness – i.e. what “problems” await me after batch acceptance.

EXERCISES:
Preparing test plans for attribute acceptance;
Building OC curves for specific test plans;
Preparing plans based on defectiveness after AOQL inspection;
Selecting the optimal plan based on 1st and 2nd party risks;
Switching between normal, discounted and stringent plans.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Participants have the opportunity to consolidate the knowledge acquired during the training course in a number of exercises performed individually or in small groups. On the basis of materials provided by the trainer, participants practice how to use AQL-based tools correctly.

After the training, each participant will receive a certificate confirming completion of the training.
